About Persian Gulf Biotechnology Park (پارک زیست‌فناوری خلیج‌فارس)

Persian Gulf Biotechnology Park is a subsidiary of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, established in June 2008 to develop innovative businesses on Qeshm Island. The park initially covers 150 hectares and is considered the largest and most prestigious science and technology park specializing in biotechnology in Iran. Its main priorities include biotechnology (marine, food, pharmaceutical, and agricultural), aquaculture, water and environment, saline agriculture and tropical plants, renewable energy, and nanotechnology.
