About Iran Refractories Procurement and Production Company (شرکت تهیه و تولید مواد نسوز کشور)

The company was established in 1976 to supply raw materials for the country's refractory products industry. In 1989, construction of a sintered magnesium oxide production plant began in South Khorasan province, and in 1993, the plant started operation with an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons of sintered magnesium oxide in various grades. In 2004, a pelletizing unit for magnesia-based clinkers was built to improve product quality and maximize use of magnesite mineral reserves. In 2014, a fused magnesia production unit was established to add value and meet customer demand for high-quality magnesia products. With these units, the company's annual production capacity reaches over 52,000 tons of various sintered magnesia, 7,500 tons of fused magnesia, and 17,500 tons of calcined magnesia. The company is now the largest producer of magnesium oxide in Iran, supplying the needs of alkaline refractory products manufacturers and the steel industry.
