Daana Pharmaceutical Company is the largest producer of antibiotic raw materials in the region and one of the largest producers of finished oral and sterile antibiotic products, as well as the largest producer of soft capsules in the country. The company is located at the foot of Sahand Mountain on a 30-hectare site with a built-up area of 70,000 square meters, which is increasing due to development plans such as production lines for injectable serums, capsule shells, liquid vials, and eye drops. The company was officially opened in 1998 (1377) and joined the country's pharmaceutical companies. Its active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) production section has the largest capacities for producing oral antibiotic raw materials and is the only producer of injectable antibiotic raw materials in the Middle East region. In the drug production section, with 26 advanced production lines, it is one of the largest producers of drugs in the forms of injectable vials, soft gels, tablets, and capsules (antibiotic and non-antibiotic), oral suspensions, sterile drops, sterile injectable water, injectable and washing serums, and glass vials in the country. All processes comply with cGMP and WHO standards, and quality control and assurance units monitor all production stages around the clock. The company has also obtained the Integrated Management System (IMS) certificate.
