About Bonab Steel Industry Complex (مجتمع فولاد صنعت بناب)

Foolad Sanat Bonab Complex started its activity in 2004 on a 132-hectare site in Bonab Industrial Town, East Azerbaijan Province, with ideal infrastructure including access to main roads, railway, power plant, gas and water transmission lines. The complex has two melting units (electric arc furnace and induction furnaces) with a casting capacity of 450,000 tons of various steel and alloy billets per year, and 6 hot rolling lines with an annual production capacity of 1.2 million tons of steel sections including ribbed rebar in various sizes under the Shahin brand, I-beam, angle, channel and alloy wire rod. With direct employment for over 2,000 people, it is the largest private sector steel producer in Iran.
